What Could A Growth On Tonsil With Soreness In Throat And Neck Be?

i have a growth on my right tonsil, it is pink like the color of my throat and is about 1 inch long. recently my throat and neck have become sore. I also seem to be catching a cold, i have a runny nose. I have noticed this growth for about 1 month, seems to be getting bigger. I am 39 year old female.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

For Symptomatic relief decongestant like levocetirizine or phenylephrine can be prescribed. For pain, paracetamol can be prescribed. But as swelling or growth present throat swab needs to be taken and send for culture. If any organism isolated than antibiotic course prescribed accordingly.
If it is not infective cause and growth than biopsy taken for histopathology examination


Consult otorhinolaryngologist for examination with keeping all this in mind.
