What Could A Round Painful Lump Be Just Above The Belly Button?

Just today when i stand i started feeling a round painful lump, only when i press it, above my belly botton. If i lean againg something with my stomach i can feel the discomfort. When i lat down i cant feel it maybe bc i have lots of belly fat. If pleasr have an idea of what this can be.

Hi,

The round painful lump you see above your belly button could be related to:

- lipoma
- hernia

I'd suggest to :
- consult a GI specialist
- do abdominal ultrasound and other tests as directed by GI specialist.

If hernia is confirmed, then, should ask your doctor if surgery is the final solution for you.

Other wise, if lipoma is confirmed, should ask for biopsy and if surgery is also the only solution.
