generally in
COPD the carbon dioxide levels rise and
oxygen levels may or may not fall. if that is happening, especially in view of recent
pneumonia, i would suspect that to be a cause of rising bp.
i would suggest a repeat ABG. he might need a BiPAP support, which may lower his CO2 and therefore control his bp
I think you should take him back to your doctor once more.
