What Could Be The Cause For One Pupil Dilated More Than The Other ?

my 17 year old daughter s one pupil is dilated much more than the other one. It just happened about 15 minutes ago. What could cause this? She swam today and used an allergy eye drop in that eye a few hours ago. She applied the eye drop while wearing contacts.

Hello
It seems from the history that your daughter has used anti-allergy eye drops following which she is having pupil dilated in that eye.
This may be because of effect of the drug. Please check the drug it may contain phenyl ephrine a vasoconstrictor commonly found in anti-allergy eye drops. Phenyl ephrine causes dilatation of the pupil.
If it is because of the above reason, then no need to worry as this will become normal once the action of the drug is over.

Thank you
