Hello
Thanks for your query.
This pain may be due to gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) and underlying heart diseases the probability of which is low in your age group. You should undergo an ECG in all leads and echocardiographic examination and evaluation by a cardiologist to rule out the underlying heart diseases. If the cardiological evaluation is normal then you should have a trial of pantoprazole 40 mg twice daily before food along with life style modification for at least 1 week and if you get benefit from this you need to continue the same treatment for at least 6 weeks. Don't panic because it may aggravate your symptoms.
Thank you.
