What Could Be The Cause Of Light Bleeding With Mucus After Long Delayed Periods?
Hello, I am 4 months late for my period and I've gone to see my family doctor who sent me for an ultrasound. I have not heard anything from her for 3 weeks since the ultrasound, and tonight I experience very light bleeding that was bright red and a lot of mucus. Should I be concerned?
I would have to say that an ultrasound would take 10 minutes to report a result and keeping you waiting for 3 weeks, is negligence in my opinion. Either way, I will not be able to comment much on the cause for bleeding. But the possibilities relating to bleeding and a delayed periid could be: -Abnormality of the inner lining of the uterus (endometriosis, adenomyosis, etc.) -Abnormality of the uterus (eg. Polyps, fibroids, etc.) -Hormonal imbalance -Other causes like pregnancy, etc.
Please try to get in touch with your doctor at the earliest.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
