What Could Be The Outcome Of Overdose Of Naproxen?
Hello, I was cleaning out my medicine cabinet while taking my nightly prescribed medicine. I noticed I had a half a bottle of Naproxen which I could put into another half a bottle of the same medicine. I guess I was distracted and put the naproxen that shouldve gone into the other half bottle with my nightly meds. I drank my nightly meds without looking because it is habit. when i went to look for the naproxen to put them with the others i couldnt find them. I m afraid i might have taken them with my nightlys. they are 500mg tabs and i think there were about 10. i was distracted and now im afraid of an over dose
The main possible side effects would be a risk of bleeding particularly from the stomach due to irritation of the stomach lining, there may also be worsening of reflux symptoms as well.
If there is a history of renal impairment or high blood pressure, it is also possible that these may be affected as well. Naproxen and other NSAIDs (ibuprofen, cataflam etc) can raise the blood pressure.
You can monitor for any bleeding, reflux symptoms or change in blood pressure
I hope this helps
