What Could Be The Reason For Feeling Overly Cold After Giving Birth By Cesarean And Becoming Grey ?
Hello-5 years ago at the age of 41 I gave birth by cesarean. The day after the c-section, the nurses could not get an oral body temperature reading from me as the machine kept reading error. Over the span of a few hours, at least three different nurses came in only to get the same reading and all leaving with the remark" oh the machine must be broken.we will come back later to check you." I was extremely hot to the point that I had put the airconditioner on and still was not cool enough. Finally a doctor came in and told me that I needed multiple blankets on and to turn off the a.c. but she never explained why. Later one of the O.R. Nurses came to check me because she'd had a bad feeling that I was not well during the cesarean , as I looked "grey" to her. What was happening?
Lot of intravenous fluids will be given and also anesthesia. Hence it is natural for you to feel cold as body fluids and blood try to accomodate and maintain blood volume. Dont worry as its normal experience. Just relax
