What Could Be The Reason For Having Blood In Mouth Occasionally?

I'm finding small amounts of blood in my mouth at very random periods of times. I'm not coughing it up, so I don't fear something wrong with my lungs. And my stomach doesn't hurt or any related chest pains so i don't believe it's an ulcer.. It appears to be coming from the throat, but in reality it's unclear where exactly it's coming from. I'm not sick. i do have anxiety so i'm freaking out a little more then the usual person would be about it.. Lol. But anyways. It's either coming from the throat or somewhere in my mouth. If it's my mouth, i feel like better oral care will take care of that. But what are some things that could be causing it from my throat?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are different possible causes for the blood that you are seeing in your mouth.

It could occur due to any condition causing peridontitis. This is any condition affecting the peridontium (the tissues which surround and support the teeth). This includes gingivitis, peridonititis, abscess formation, ulcer formation.

Sinus disease causing post nasal drip can also be associated with the presence of blood.

As you indicated blood can also originate from the lungs or gastrointestinal tract.

It would be best to be evaluated by your doctor. He or she would examine your mouth and based on the findings of your history and examination provide a likely cause.

I hope this helps
