What Could Be The Reason For Having Blood In My Daughter's Urine?
my six year old daughter had a urinalysis done and they found blood in her urine, they just sent her today for a repeat urinalysis test, what could a 6 year old possibly have with blood in her urine? Its very scary not knowing what is wrong with my child.
Hi, I have read your question and understand your concern. There are multiple causes of blood in urine and among them urinary tract infection is fairly common in kids. In my opinion your daughter might have urinary tract infection which is not a serious problem. Repeating her urinalysis test means your doctor might wants to confirm the diagnosis and once confirmed she will be prescribed antibiotic and within a week she will feel better after taking antibiotic. Even after feeling better within a few days she has to take complete dose of antibiotic to get rid of infection completely from the urinary system. Hope this answer is helpful. Thanks Dr.Pari
