Hello, There are many causes for Left arm pain like musculo skeletal pain. But when it is associated with chest pain and difficulty in breathing, we should not ignore the pain as simple musculo skeletal pain. Because the pain may be due to heart disease such as angina, heart attack, cardiac valvular disease etc. The pain must be evaluated by your primary care physician. He may advise you take Electrocardiogram Echocardiogram and some blood tests. This all are required to rule out any heart disease. If all the investigations are normal, then he may prescribe some pain killers or antacids depending on the findings in physical examination and history of symptoms. Thus you have to consult to rule out the heart disease.
