What Could Be The Reason For Having Painful Intercourse And Green Discharge?
Hi I had a termination 7 years ago, directly after I had pain during intercourse (cervix) back pain, abdo pain. all swabs clear. I have had a lump removed an eptopic pregnancy with tube removed and a laparoscopy. no clear answer for pain. I have a green discharge no smell and swabs still clear. very painful intercourse still in same area.
Hi ! Good afternoon and a Happy New Year to you. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
From your history, it seems that following termination, you might have developed a pelvic infection which was not treated resulting in the chronic pain. Also there could be some granulation tissue/scar developing after the procedure, which is neglected by you and that is causing the pain. If I were your doctor, I would have gone for a hysteroscopy in your case to see if there is any such pathology in the cervical or vaginal area which might be causing such problem. Another possibility is some endometriotic seedling over the fornices or the pouch of Douglas which is not detected and causing you such pain.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor/gynaecologist in planning your treatment. Thanks for using the health care magic forum for your query on health. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
