What Could Be The Reason For Having Sharp Pain Above My Collarbone While Swallowing?
When swallowing, I get a sharp pain just above the front area of my right collarbone. The area is tender when pressed. I am a female aged 51 in generally good health, active, about 5kg overweight. My thyroid was removed about 10 years ago along with goitre lumps that have not returned.
Dear user, Hi! sharp pain over right collar pain while swallowing and tenderness suggests either an inflamed nodule or a sore muscle. as you have history of nodular thyroid, you must get USG guided FNAC done . meanwhile try some antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs till you get reports in hand. Regards!
