Hi im a 27 year old male that has had a a lump in groin for over a year now that started out about size of pea but quickly grew to size of golfball before it started draining,Has returned a few times and seems to get worse each time it comes back.Went to emergency room first time i had it and they told me that i had a prostate infection and kidney infection and that they would get back to me with other test results but never did. thinking of going in to see if they can cut it out but dont have the money to just keep goin back and am curious to see if anyone has any ideas of what it could be.
The lump in the groin area can be due to various causes which include any allergic reaction drug reaction, benign cyst, infection, trauma, Lipomas, swollen lymph glands or the more commonly hernia sac formation. If any fluid is present within the sac this will present like a hydrocele. Perhaps you should consult with your emergency room again and take a second opinion. Regards.
