Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Pneumonia is common cause for pleuritic chest pain.
In some cases it can cause pleural effusion and prolonged pleural inflammation (pleurisy).
And both these can cause chest pain after pneumonia.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system
2. Chest x ray.
If chest x ray is normal then no need to worry for these complications.
Apply warm water pad on affected areas. Avoid movements causing pain. Avoid bad postures in sleep.
Start painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
