What Could Be The Reason To Prescribe Two Antibiotics For Draining A Cyst-like Lump?
My 14 yr. old daughter had a cyst-like lump, under skin of her thumb, cut open and drained yesterday. Doc. prescribed both Bactrim and Clindamycin. Why does she need two antibiotics? She HATES the taste of the Clindimycin, even with food or drink, and refuses to take it. She takes the Bactrim with no problem, though.
there must be need of it as there can be many organism or bacteria in the pus and infections your doctor might have suspected from color of pus the need of two antibiotics i advise you to consult your doctor who can review and either change salt or stop one as the situation nedds
