What Could Be The Weird Red Blotchy Rash On Chest, Neck And Back?
I have a weird red blotchy rash on my chest neck and back. It's not raised bumps or anything but it's unusual and I can't get it to go away after months of trying different ways. Went to the hospital they said a dermatologist could help it kinda looks like a heat rash.
Hi i do not think red blotchy rash on neck chest and back can be heat rash because heat rash usually presents as erythematous pinpoint papules which are grouped present usually over the covered parts. I think ur rashes are due to photodermatoses or airborne contact dermatitis.it can be treated by atarax 25 mg at night.antibiotic twice daily and application of calamine lotion in the morning and flucort cream in the night.rule out secondary syphilis and pityriasis rosasea also
There are multiple reasons for a red blotchy mark. If it is not raised / bumpy it doesnt sound like a fungal infection. It sounds to me more like a dermatitis or a vascular condition.
Apply mild corticosteroid like hydrocortisone for 10 days. If lesion doesnt improve I insist you get checked with a dermatologist to rule out vascular conditions line hemangioma.
