What Could Bleeding Clots From Ear Canal With A Vertigo Episode Indicate?

I recently had blood come out of my ear canal, it wasn't oozing but went on all night ( about 10 hrs ) there was blood clots also. No trauma or hearing loss, but one incidence of vertigo that lasted for about 45 seconds. went to ent Dr a week later, blood still in the canal said it appeared to be coming from the inside lining of my ear canal but said he couldn't explain where the blood actually came from, I am concerned.
