What Could Bruising Below The Knee Over Shin Bone After Partial Knee Replacement Surgery Be?

I have had partial knee replacement Dec 2011 had some problems with the surgery a piece of bone was forgotten and it required opening up the knee again to remove, have always had discomfort since the surgery but said o-well, recently the un-comfort is intensifying, today I noticed that it appears I have almost like bruising (4 spots) on the lower leg (below the knee) front side over the shin bone ????

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The bruising below the knee is suggestive of an internal bleeding in the area. It can be related to an inflammation also. Do consult your surgeon for a direct examination.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
