What Could Cause A Swollen Throat Acid Reflux Or A Side Effect Of Celecoxib?
i was prescribed celecoxib (anti-inflamatory) since i have chikuguna (mosquiot-based). however, i stopped since my acid reflux worsened. now, i have pain in the throat when swallowing... i think it is because of the celecoxib or because of the acid reflux. what can i do? thanks so much!
I have gone through your query regarding pain in throat after chikuguna fever and you were prescribed celecoxib an anti inflammatory molecule.
As you said that you are prone to acidity and unfortunately you were bound ti give up the celecoxib due to acid reflex. Now you are having pain in throat during swallowing, it may be-
a- GERD- by the cececoxib your gastric mucosa had secreted more acid and that had given rise to pain in throat.
b- Sore throat- In all viral fevers post pyrexial pharyngeal infection is quite common due to decrease in immunity and that result in sore throat and mild pain, some times cough also.
Here I would like to suggest you to start taking antacid along with your already prescribed prescription. This will help you.
Regards.
