What Could Cause A Tiny Lip Coloured Bump On The Lip?
I have a tiny lip coloured bump on my top outer lip. On the lip not skin. I only noticed it cause the skin looked pinker or more redder. It appeared suddenly and has been a week. It is soft and squishy but does not pop. Does not bleed. Not scalie. Not flakie. No pain. Has not changed in a week. It is not a cold sore or herpe as those usually tingle and I don't commonly get those. What could this be as always fear the worst....
hello, welcome to HCM according to query. Not to take tension much, lip colour bump could be because of two reason: 1. Mucocele- but usually mucocele happen in lower lip due to trauma, its nothing but a false cyst of salivary gland. so this may not be your probablity. 2. Fibroma: its nothing but a soft tissue growth of connective tissue which is pink in colour, painless, not bleed. so, not to worry much. you should visit your dentist and get it removed which is a only treatment. for the confirmation to remove all doubts you can send that tissue for histopathology.
hope you are satisfied thank you
