What Could Cause Chest Pain?

After eating a banana I get severe pains in my chest. These pains are located near the bottom of my rib cage. It is a constant pain that can last more than an hour and I wind up laying in bed trying to ease the discomfort. Is this something to do with my heart?

Hi
Pain related to food intake are very unlikely to be due to heart problems. Rather they are most commonly caused by acid peptic disorders. Treatment of this include avoidance of precipitating food and acid suppressing drugs like antacids, H2blockers an proton pump inhibitors.

Thank you
