What Could Cause Electrifying Sensation On Top Of Head?

Hello. My name is, Michael and I am 29, 5 8, 190lbs, generalized anxiety disorder. Pinched nerve in my neck and a bulging disk, mild central canal stenosis in lumbar area with a couple disc herniations in lumbar area. I have strange question (I haven t asked my family dr. yet, because it sounds kind of strange)...sometimes I get what seems like a static electricity sensation on top of my head (kind of like when one rubs a balloon on top of his or her head), and also this strange deep itch sensation on the same part of my left back (it will last a few days, then go away for a few weeks, then return)...I was thinking that maybe it was just an itch, but when it happens, it s always in the same part of my back and top of my head.

Hello,

This sounds like an irritated nerve. Most likely “fixable”. You should not hesitate to discuss this with your local doctors. This is nothing to be ashamed of.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Marius Lazar, Dermatologist
