What Could Cause High Blood Sugar Levels After Being On Bydureon?
hello. I am curious when to expect my blood sugar levels to come back down? I was on victoza for a year and insurance will no longer cover it so my doctor switched me to bydureon. i went five days without either and took the first shot of bydureon yesterday and my #'s are still in the 200's. with the victoza and lantus which i also take, my numbers were fairly controlled between 100 and 150 almost always.
i a sorry to hear about these difficulties with your insurance. It is too early to judge how well this medication works. I believe your doctor is still working on determining what the right dose should be for you. With a record of the numbers for about a week, the doctor would be able to know how much units he should add. The goal at this point is not having perfect sugars but working on getting the perfect and safe dose for you. This may take a week or two if all goes well. 200 is not too bad but sure you would soon get better.
