What Could Cause High Fever In The Nights That Subsides During The Day, Awaiting Blood Reports Meanwhile Taking Amoxicillin?

My sister has high fever especially at nights (touching 103.5 F). It kind of subsides over the day and increases again in the evening. It has been happening for a couple of nights and we consulted the local physician and are waiting for blood test results which are expected to come in tomorrow. The antibiotics she is on is amoxyllin (250 mg tablets) .
She does not have and nasal congestion or irritation in the urinary tract and also does not have rashes. The fever happened to coincide with the onset of Menstrual cycle and the flow apparently is a bit less than usual.

Hi
I would come up with these possibilities for this type of fever , these includes .
1 Typhoid fever , usually continuous fever ( evening rise ) for long time may be due to typhoid fever . So get in serological test and Widal test for confirmation.
2 Tuberculosis may be the next reason .As in my clinic I noted that long time fever particularly in the evening rise may be due to tuberculosis ( extra pulmonary or pulmonary ) Diagnosis can be confirmed by MOntox's test and blood for E S R .
3 Hepatitis is one of the major cause of such fever .
As there are so many reasons for such evening rise of temperature but it is very difficult to say something only by short clinical history .
So consult your physician and after blood test deal according to condition.
As long time of fever is not good for patient.
It is mere co incidence that fever develop with menses .
Good luck.
