What Could Cause Indentation On Back?

Hello, my friend noticed this indentation on her back. It is located near the lower part of her right scapula. She has had back surgery, and also gets trigger point injections. Wondering what this could be and if it is anything to worry about. Thank you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

An indentation near the lower part of scapula can be due to contracture of scar in the area or a tear of the fascia. If it is not painful or increasing then there is no need to worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
