What Could Cause Light Headed?

The right side of my head has been prickly and very sensitive to touch for about 4 days now. I am also very tired, yesterday my hands trembled badly until I ate some chocolate (wondered if I needed something sweet for energy) and I get light headed off and on

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to:
1. Reduction in blood sugar levels (Hypoglycemia).
Relief of symptoms on intake of chocolate indicates towards the same.
2. Deficiency of certain nutrients like Iron, Vitamin B 12, Calcium, etc. which interferes with blood formation & nerve conduction.
3. Any fluctuation in blood pressure levels (Hypo/ Hypertension)
4. Any pathology in the vestibular apparatus in inner ear (it is associated with maintenance of body posture & balance)

Symptomatic relief can be obtained with maintaining optimum blood glucose level.
In addition, you can take nervigenic agents (like Vit B6, B12, Folic acid) & Pantoperazole (to be taken 30 minutes before meals).

If it still persists, then you need to consult your Physician/ ENT Specialist & get a complete clinical examination done.
Investigations like estimation of blood pressure, blood sugar levels, serum electrolytes & vestibular function tests will be required to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Till then, maintain adequate hydration & proper nutrition status and avoid stress.
And also take precautions of getting up from bed slowly & avoid sudden head movements.

Wishing a Good Health.
Take care.
