What Could Cause Pain In Frontal Lobe Above Eye, Headache, Insomnia With Lightheadedness?
Thanks for the help. I am experiencing a frontal lobe ache above my left eye. It turns into a headache. I get it when I cough, bend over or strain. Also experiencing some insomnia. Been going on the last couple months. Seems like it gets slightly better and gets back. Also experiencing more light headedness.
Regarding your concern, I would like to explain that your symptoms may be related to a sinus infection.
I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam, a sinus X ray study and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate).
Regarding the insomnia, I would recommend starting melatonine for some months to regulate your sleep regime. Other drugs to consider are zolpidem, lorazepam, etc., but they should not be used more than 2 weeks, because of the risk of addiction and tolerance.
Hope to have been helpful! Best wishes, Dr. Aida
