What Could Cause Pain In Left Abdomen, Buttocks, Legs And Rectum With Weird Smelling Urine?
I am a 35 year old female. I have been having a weird urine smell. A dull pain on the left side of my stomach. Pain on both sides of my butt which goes down to the top part of the back of my legs. My feet are tingling and when I sneeze I get a stabbing pain in my rectum that only lasts seconds. I made a appointment with my doctor but its not for about 20 days.
The weird urine smell and dull pain on the left side is related to urinary tract and/or genital tract infection. Further lab tests are needed : - urine analysis - vaginal swab testing - transvaginal/abdominal ultrasound
If you are having constipation or changes/problems with bowel movement, that explains why you got stabbing pain in your rectum after sneezing. Check for hemorrhoids or other anal/rectal problems.
Until the next appointment with your doctor, you can: - have more water - take otc urine ph alkalinizers (magnesium/zinc citrate) - take cranberry supplements - take acetaminophen/mephenamic acid for the pain - take probiotics to optimize intestinal microbiota
Take care! Dr.Sonila
