What Could Cause Pain In Upper Thigh And Buttock After Having Lumbar Lamininotomy?

I had a lumbar lamininotomy 2 weeks ago and was pain free following the procedure. Now I am experiencing pain in my upper thigh and buttock area. I had both sides done at the time, even though my right side was not giving me any trouble. It is the right side that I am now having the discomfort. Please advise. Thank you

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain in upper thigh and buttock could be due to a nerve root irritation or a soft tissue swelling at the site of surgery. This is likely to subside on its own in next few days.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
