When yawning or taking a deep breath, I have a weird sensation right under my sternum. There is no pain associated with the sympton, it feels like something flips backward and then forward back into place. When I push on the area, i feel a tight pressure throughout my stomach. Any idea what this may be?
In my opinion you are suffering from GERD. GERD is gastro esophageal reflux disease. In this condition due to poor functioning of gastroesophageal sphincter the acid in the stomach tends to come up inthe esophagus and cause the symptoms. You should follow below mentioned steps. 1. Avoid heavy meals. 2. Avoid spicy and oily food. 3. Take good antacids like pantoprazole and rabeprazole with prokinetic agents like levosulperide. 4. Avoid stress and anxiety. 5. Go for walk after meals. 6. Keep 2-3 pillows below your head in the bed.
