Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am unable to lay my hand flat (as if to do a push up on the floor). My wrist will not bend. This is a recent issue. I broke my wrist twice approx. 35 years ago and have had no problems since. Is this arthritis or some type of carpal tunnel issue? Can debridement be done if it is arthritic?
The inability to lay the hand flat is likely to be due to arthritic changes in the wrist joint. Regular physiotherapy exercises can help in decreasing the joint restriction.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
