What Could Cause Raised Line Across Abdomen With Cramping After Mild Exercise During The Period Of Postpartum?

I am almost 9 weeks postpartum with my 4 son. I went for a run this evening (very slow and only a mile). When I stepped out of the shower I noticed I have a raised line across my abdomen. It is the same color as my skin. I sprayed some topical benadryl on it. I am not sure what I would of had a reaction to. I do have some abdominal cramping as well - not too bad. I just figured it was normal to have some cramping when resuming regular activities.

Hello,

The line that you noticed is not related to the exercise. This can be due to mild skin allergy. The abdominal cramping is also normal and is likely to subside in the next few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rakhi Tayal, OBGYN
