What Could Cause Sore Throat In A 12 Years Old Child?
Hi, my 12 year old son was diagnosed for a sore throat, running nose & fever three days back. He was prescribed Pentid 400mg tablets (2tabs twice daily x 2 weeks) & Vozet 5mg (1 tab once x 1 week). He is running a temperature of average 100.2 degrees thrice a day for the last three days. I gave him Paracetamol Thrice a day if there was 100 degrees or more with a gap of 8 hours. He is not eating properly. He has red spots on his tongue. I cant reach the doctor. Please help.

Continue with antibiotic Pentid medicine.
It takes some time to work against bacteria so fever might remain for 2-3 days.
Meanwhile give paracetamol tablet as and when required.
Give him plenty of water and keep him well hydrated.
Give him light diet.
Okand take care.
