What Could Cause Two Periods In A Month With Blood Clots And Light Bleeding The Second Time?
I have been having two menstrual cycles a month. The first one normal, second one a week later and light, The first time it happened I had blood clots now it is just light bleeding. My family doctor took a urine sample to make sure my bladder was not bleeding. What else can cause this?
The second bout of bleeding you are having seems to be very light, could be spotting to minor bleeding. It seems you are having it a week after the main period have stopped. This comes to be about 12th to 14th day. You have not mentioned, what is the periodicity of your menstruation. However, to me it appears that you are having this additional bout of bleeding at the time of egg release (ovulation).
Some amount of minor bleeding with some pain in abdomen at the time of ovulation is a normal physiological phenomenon and is known as Mittelschmerz. This bleeding usually stops within a day or two and does not require any special attention.
I hope this clarifies your doubts.
