Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I hospitalized this past week for an upper GI bleed. I had an upper GI bleed on Monday and they also cauterized the popped blood vessel that same day. The doctor said nothing to me about not drinking alcohol. To play it safe, would it be OK to drink again, or am I supposed to wait a certain amount of time?
you should quit alcohol it not only leads to upper GI bleed but can aggravate pre existing varices tht popped out vessels. whts ur viral profile Hep B and c?
