What Could Cause Upper Lobes To Become In Filtered?

What causes both upper lobes to become infiltrated? I've had a cough with phlem for two years now and my other pulmonologist just whatched me and treated me with steroids and inhalers. Since I haven't gotten better, a new pulmonologist is going to take a biopsy.

I can understand your concern.
Bilateral upper lobe infiltration is seen in following lung conditions.
1. Tuberculosis
2. Sarcoidosis
3. Chronic hypersensitivity pneumonitis
4. Sillicosis
5. Pulmonary fibrosis.
So too confirm the diagnosis you should get done bronchoscopic evaluation. This includes BAL (bronchoalveolar lavage) analysis and lung biopsy to confirm the diagnosis.
Treatment of all these is different. So better to consult first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
