Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Could Chronic Tailbone Pain, Especially When Seated, Indicate?
I have a pain in the tailbone that lasted for two a 2- year- period; specially when I sit down in front of the computer or driving. It s still exisingting now. I used several courses of medication, however, no improvement such as divido, xefo, ans celebrex. What should I do next?
As this sounds like a weakness of the hip muscles which aren't capable enough to take the load of the body over it while sitting. I will advise you to use the Piles pillow when sitting for long in a chair. This will distribute the pressure of the body and avoid excessive stress over the muscles. Also, doing exercises to improve the strength in the core and hip Muscles will be beneficial to avoid this pain in future too.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
