I had a anterior cervical laminectomy fixation/fusion of c5/c6 three weeks ago. My xrays I have for the first post op appointment looks abnormal,the plate in my neck is crooked,it is not staight at all,what does this mean ? My husband thinks it shifted to the right,also looks like a screw has moved ??
1.In a post operative case of laminectomy and fixation/fusion with fixtures - after 3 weeks check x-ray report means. 2.It looks like the fixtures which fixed during procedure has moved and changed alignment, mal-alignment. 3.And might shows loss of curvature is seen. 4.The screws might have loosen from the place. 5.This happens due to not maintaining immobility, operative error, trauma. 6.Next time please put the same wordings mentioned in the report - that will help to serve you better.
