What Could Dark Brown Ear Discharge, Thinner Than Regular Ear Wax Be?

Hi,I have dark reddish brown ear discharge in one ear , a little thinner than regular ear wax, and quite a bit of draining. My ear doesn t itch any more than usual and I am not in pain. My ear does feel a little full, like I have something in it but it s subtle. I don t own any pets either and don t have a cold but do get allergies. Oh and it does not smell like anything. What could it be?Thanks!

Hello,

Usually ear wax may stayed longtime become dark. But in case of any ear trauma while cleaning process and all it may mix with blood may gives reddish brown colour.

So once again check with your ENT specialist he will see through endoscopy and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
