What Could Dark Itchy Patches On Nipples Suggest?

Hi, I have had a dark scaly patch right above the nipple of my left breast that has grown noticeably in size for almost a month now. it burns when I'm in the shower and sometimes after I scratch around it, and itches really bad off and on. the itch feels like it's on the inside, and not directly on my breast. also, I have noticed a smaller patch that has just appeared near the larger one a few days ago. I am worried that it could be paget's although I don't have any rashes on my nipple, or any discharges, just the ugly rash. but I don't want to jump t conclusions. I am scheduled for a mammogram soon, any suggestions? thanks so much.

Hi,
From history it seems that there can be either,
1, fungal infection or,
2, local skin lesion like dermatitis or,
3, allergic dermatitis due to wearing synthetic bra.
Apply triple action cream locally.
Take Benadryl or Cetrizine for itching which might cause bacterial infection.
Keep local part clean, dry.
Ok and take care.
