What Could Elevated SGOT, SGPT And Alkaline Phosphate Levels Indicate?

my SGOT and SGPT is109 and serum alkaline phosphate is 216. Ihave gone through liver biopsy ,but could not found the reason.Since 2006 I am sufferig from this problem. this time again my blood report is not in favour. IS DIET EFFECT the sgot. sgpt and alkaline phosphate level in the blood?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

There will be some organic cause for elevated SGPT and SGOT ....

Your liver biopsy normal ....So liver cause not there ...

Have you investigated for gall stone , pancreas problem , bile duct problem etc.....????

If no than investigate them by USG abdomen and if needed MRCP like higher investigation....

If not present than history regarding cardiac causes and muscular problem should be searched for ....
As they can lead such abnormal result ...

If you history of malabsorption syndrome like abdominal cause than celiac disease should be ruled out ...

Infectious mononucleosis if suspected it should be ruled out by serological testing ...

So your detail history and complete examination needed to investigate further .
