What Could Episodes Of Pounding Heart Followed By Passing Out Indicate?

I am a 25 year old female and starting one day in February I had a moment where my heart started pounding and I passed out...I have had several moments like this since then like this but have only passed out the one time...I have had several trips to the hospital and have seen a cardiologist, neurologist, and endocrinologist. Even a natropath. The only thing abnormal in all the testing is low vitamin D and b12. When these moments occur I feel very dizzy and light headed and have a lot of mental confusion... I also lost about 40 pounds and ended up under a hundred pounds but have since gained back to a healthy weight. I don t kno wat else to do or where to turn to find answers. Any ideas on what I should do wud be very appreciated.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I have seen that you did an intensive workup. It is a hard problem to pinpoint a reason for. I suggest a long EKG study for like 3 days. Also I recommend an echocardiography.

Moreover, MRI study to rule out Multiple sclerosis. Blood tests to rule out iron anemia, vit b12 dif for example. I suspect you did all of the above already but just incase maybe check with your treating doctor.

If no organic cause could be found you need to consider a psychological reason. For this please refer to a psychologist or psychiatrist and discuss the issue.

Meanwhile, try to follow a healthy diet and do some sports but don't stress yourself doing it. Try to minimize stress by meditation. Finally, try to stay hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Ahmad Nazzal
