What Could Have Caused Indentation In Butt Cheek While Working Out To Build Gluteus Maximus?

i have been doing alot of squats and other exersizes to build my gluteus maximus up and make it bigger but, i have noticed that since i have been doing these exersizes i have an indentation on my lower right butt cheek where the hamstring muscle meets the gluteus. What could have caused that indentation?

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There is nothing to worry about. It could be due to fat loss in that that particular area. It is common in areas where muscle or fascia get inserted. Have you not seen people with dimples on face? It is similar to that. Its not pathological. You can continue working out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Deepti Shivakumar
