What Could It Be If Having A Feeling Of Lump In Throat Which Is Relieved After Burping Or Passing Gas?

I have a feeling of a lump in my throat. Acid (heartburn) . It comes and goes during the day for three days now. Worse during the day. At night, relaxed I am fine. When active it gets worse. Often at its worst, if I burp or pass gas there is relief. Cold water helps but is temporary.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

The symptoms are suggestive of GERD (gastro-esophageal reflux disease), with possible H.pylori infection of the stomach/duodenum.

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me and will prescribe appropriate treatment.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.

Take care
