What Could It Be If Having Indigestion, Bloating, Gas, Loss Of Apetite, Low Grade Fever?
I have had horrible indigestion for a week. Feels like i tight ball between breastbone and stomach. After eating I get bloated, gassy, and burning nawing feeling in the same spot. I have loss of appetite and softer stools. The last few night I have been waking up in pain. And it gets worse every day. The last 2 days I ve noticed a low grade fever...99-100 with body aches and chills. What could this be?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read the history and understood your concerns. The probable diagnosis is gastroenteritis. I would advise you the following: Get the stool and blood tested. Get a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole along with a PPI and probiotic. Consult your PCP or Family Physician. Have soft bland diet. Paracetamol if fever. If there is nausea or vomiting you may need Domperidone. Take plenty of fluids orally and electral solution to keep the body well hydrated and have proper electrolyte balance.
