Had a bone marrow biopsy done that shows no leukemia but need to go to hematologist .Have low white blood cell count. Am waiting for appointment and am not sure why my internist is sending me to see this specialist.Could this mean that maybe I have other cancer???
hi A low white blood cell count usually is caused by one of the following: Viral infections that temporarily disrupt bone marrow function. Congenital disorders characterized by diminished bone marrow function. Cancer or other diseases that damage bone marrow.
