Hi, I am 63 years and have an appointment at the breast clinic next week. I have inverted nipples since puberty, I have a small hard lump under the left nipple. I discovered it because my nipple was sore, my Doctor thought it was a cracked nipple and gave me cream, this helped but now I can feel the small lump. I am very anxious and have been reading that most lumps found in an older person s breast are probably cancer.
yes, you are right, you have to rule out cancer first, you have to under go triple assessment by any surgery- clinical history and breast examination by physian , mammography of both breast and tissue diagnoses. but dont worry prognosis of breast cancer is very good.
