What Could Outbreak Of Light Brown Circular Spots On Body Indicate?

Light brown circular spots have developed on my skin on various parts of my body. However, I ve noticed over the last couple of years that they have shown up on my face (i.e. cheeks). I have very light skin and stopped tanning about ten years ago. How can I get rid of these spots on my face in particular .... I do not wear makeup.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, There are several skin conditions that can show up as light brown spots on skin. In order to get rid of them you need to know the exact cause. It is best to see a dermatologist for complete evaluation and treatment recommendations. For example, if it is from sun exposure (can be remote) then lightening creams may work. If it is from a yeast infection then you may need medications.
