What Could Paracentral Disc Protrusion In MRI Report Suggest?
The MRI show T12-L1: focal left paracentral disc protrusion measureing up to 3 mm in anterior-posterior dimension.; it extends into the left neural foraminal, with moderate to severe narrowing of the left neural foramina at this level. What happens now?
welcome to Health care magic. 1.The report means - the disc which is between two vertebrae has moved back wards, which is measuring 3mm. 2.And causing pressure effect on the nerve which is passing through the foramen. 3.Treatment in this case starts with a simple exercises, with maintained positional norms, lying on a flat bed, avoid heavy weights with some pain killers. 4.If symptoms are severe and difficult in daily activity - the treatment will be intervention / operative procedure. 5.Try the back exercises on daily basis - many of the patients do get relief after exercises. Good luck. Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
